MEET THE CANDIDATES

August Meeting

Brad Ohlemacher provided a Safe Island Task Force update, noting that ALL businesses were involved in the effort and communication was paramount in the committee's success. He also indicated that SITF efforts will continue and shared the extensive Kid Rock/Bash on the Bay plans.

Kathi Spayde reviewed the PIBPOA.com website, noting the extensive changes recently made.

Todd Blumensaadt reviewed numerous changes made by the Jet Express customer behavioral changes to promote a safe, family friendly island.

Chief Steve Riddle stated that the July 27, 2019 police traffic plan worked, with only 13 arrests on that day. He also indicated that officers educate visitors regarding underage golf cart drivers; while PIBPOA members encouraged arrests instead.
